Two dead bodies. One unforgettable hero. The beginning of a legend.

The year is 1868, and Sherlock Holmes is fourteen. His life is that of a perfectly ordinary army officer’s son: boarding school, good manners, a classical education – the backbone of the British Empire. But all that is about to change. With his father suddenly posted to India, and his mother mysteriously ‘unwell’, Sherlock is sent to stay with his eccentric uncle and aunt in their vast house in Hampshire. So begins a summer that leads Sherlock to uncover his first murder, a kidnap, corruption and a brilliantly sinister villain of exquisitely malign intent.

  1. Very good – a must for all Holmes fans ( even us oldies)!
Like Andrew Lane I have a vast collection of Sherlock Holmes books – sadly not tax-deductible though.
Looking forward to the next book in the series.

  5. I am reading this fantastic book at the moment and it is amazing. I am deffinatly getting this book and the next for christmas. I am finding that Young Sherlock is very Observent. He sounds incredible and I am hoping there will be alot more books. I used to read the Twilight Saga all the time but I have to say this one has solved its way up to the top.

  7. This Book was really awesome. Try writing in a different manner as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle did and oh, not that hard. Otherwise this book was amazing I couldn’t forget this.
